Hello Highland Middle School Community,

At Highland Middle School, we envision that every student experiences a strong sense of belonging—feeling welcomed, safe, and supported. We aim to foster trusting relationships built on care and respect, creating an environment where students are engaged, empowered, and eager to learn. I am Don Strother and have been the HMS Principal for eight years. We value the student experience at HMS and believe that All Means All. In the 2025-26 school year, HMS has been emphasizing Math Fluency Strategies with students, and all teachers have an intentional focus on Social Emotional Learning Standards and common instructional strategies that support student leaning.

Hola, comunidad de la Escuela Intermedia Highland:

En la Escuela Intermedia Highland, nos esforzamos por que cada estudiante experimente un fuerte sentido de pertenencia: se sienta bienvenido, seguro y apoyado. Nos esforzamos por fomentar relaciones de confianza basadas en el cuidado y el respeto, creando un ambiente donde los estudiantes se sientan comprometidos, empoderados y con ganas de aprender. Soy Don Strother y he sido director de HMS durante ocho años. Valoramos la experiencia estudiantil en HMS y creemos que todos son todos.
